Falohop Library was born out of a vision to help families raise kind, confident, and emotionally intelligent kids through the power of storytelling.
Each book is created to nurture connection, teach values, and make bilingual learning feel natural and joyful.
As a bilingual mother raising two boys in a home where I am the only one who speaks both Spanish and English, I noticed how limited the options for bilingual books were. Most of what I found felt more like lessons than stories. My son was not excited to read them because they did not feel alive or meaningful.
His real learning was happening through television, and I knew deep down that was not how I wanted him to learn language or values. What was missing were bilingual storybooks that felt inviting and full of heart. Books that included small touches of Spanish without overwhelming children while teaching kindness, empathy, and connection.
That gap is what inspired me to create Falohop Library.
Falohop began with my children, but it exists for every child.
Every child deserves to grow up with stories that help them believe in themselves, love who they are, and see that their words and actions can make a difference.
My “why” also comes from my own story.
I grew up in the Dominican Republic, where storybooks were not part of my childhood. My mom worked hard and did her best, but like many parents, she raised me with a strict and tough love approach because that is what she was taught. We did not talk much about emotions, and we did not have storytime moments that helped us learn about kindness or compassion.
When I was 14 years old and moved to the United States, I held a storybook for the first time. That moment changed me completely. I realized how powerful stories could be and how much they could teach without needing to correct or lecture. Children should never have to wait that long to feel the magic and meaning of stories.
Creating Falohop Library became my way of breaking that cycle. I wanted to give my sons and families like ours a better way to learn and grow. I want children to learn kindness through stories, not through correction. I want them to see that language is a bridge that connects, not something that divides.
My hope is that our books help children believe in themselves. I want them to understand that kindness is strength and that even small acts of love can make a difference in the world.
Falohop Library is not only about selling books. It is about creating change.
Our mission is to make bilingual storytime meaningful and to offer books that children love and parents trust. Each story brings emotional intelligence and Spanish together naturally so families can raise kind, confident, and bilingual kids who see the good in themselves and others.
Giving is part of who we are. Our goal is to donate one million bilingual books to children who deserve opportunity and hope. Every purchase helps move that mission forward.
Falohop Library stories are more than entertainment. They are created with purpose, blending heart, meaning, and learning. Parents looking for bilingual books for toddlers or preschoolers can trust our stories to feel warm, approachable, and full of love.
Although this began as my personal vision, it is no longer only mine. A small team now stands beside me, helping bring each story to life and share our message with more families.
The world may feel uncertain, but kindness cannot wait. Children need it now.
The kids who are reading our bilingual stories today are the same ones who will grow up to share classrooms, communities, and workplaces with our own. Teaching kindness now through storytelling shapes the kind of world they will build together.
Falohop Library is about more than books. It is about creating a ripple effect of kindness. That is why we created the Dalo Forward movement, a reminder that when someone does something kind for you, you pass it forward to someone else. It is rooted in our values of kindness, faith, love, hope, and emotional growth. It is a way for families to live out the same lessons their children are learning in our stories.
Falohop Library is still at the beginning of its journey, but the movement is growing. With every story read and every child reached, we move closer to a world where kindness and bilingual learning live hand in hand.
Stories do not just teach words. They teach hearts.
And when we raise kind kids, we raise world changers.
